Achievement Testing

We have finalized information for Achievement Testing for 2018. We will be testing the first full week of May, 2018 (May 7-10). We will test from 9 AM until around noon Tuesday-Thursday. The CogAT (cognative test equivalent to the OLSAT) will be given Monday morning during proctor training. Location is TBA, but will most likely be held at Tates Creek Christian Church.

We will be switching to the Iowa tests (standardized test) and CogAT (cognative skills test) this year. They will be of a similar format to those given in previous years. The CogAT is, again, optional. The standardized test will consist of language skills, math skills, science, and social studies. There is no Bible test on the Iowa test. We will be testing First Grade and above for the Iowa and Fourth grade and above for the CogAT.

All families participating in achievement testing will be required to volunteer in some capacity. For most, this will be as a testing proctor. Please clear your schedules for testing week. We will make every effort to accommodate those with special circumstances, but please let us know as soon as possible if you will require special consideration.

Testing will cost $20 per child for CHB members, and $30 per child for nonmembers. There will be an additional $5 per child taking the CogAT (optional). If you would like to participate, please download the registration form from our website, and send it to the address listed on the form, email it, or give it to me at CHB on Mondays. I am in room 110. We need your registration form by January 31. Payment is due by February 28.
