We are still finalizing details for Achievement Testing for 2020. We will be testing the first full week of May, 2019 (May 4-7). We will test from 9 AM until around noon Tuesday-Thursday. The CogAT (cognative test equivalent to the OLSAT) will be given Monday morning during proctor training. Testing will be held at Tates Creek Christian Church.
We will be using the Iowa tests (standardized test) and CogAT (cognative skills test) this year. They will be of a similar format to those given in previous years. The CogAT is, again, optional. The standardized test will consist of language skills, math skills, science, and social studies. There is no Bible test on the Iowa test. We will be testing First Grade and above for the Iowa and Fourth grade and above for the CogAT.
All families participating in achievement testing will be required to volunteer in some capacity. For most, this will be as a testing proctor. Please clear your schedules for testing week. We will make every effort to accommodate those with special circumstances, but please let us know as soon as possible if you will require special consideration.
Testing will cost $TBD (grades 1-3) and $TBD (grades 4 and up) per child for CHEB members, and $TBD (grades 1-3) and $TBD (grades 4 and up) per child for nonmembers. There will be an additional $TBD per child taking the CogAT (optional). If you would like to participate, please download the registration form from our website, and send it to the address listed on the form, email it, or turn it in at the NHA sign in table at CHB on Mondays. We need your registration form and payment by TBD.
